SMAC Motorsport was established in 2019 with good friend and crew chief Russell Macbean. Russell is an experienced industrial designer with many years of concept development and Prototyping experience. Steve started racing Karts at age 12 at his local Wollongong track (Kembla Grange). I had no option but follow the motorsport path, my father Keith was a member of the Wollongong Hot Rod Club which become Wollongong City Speedway, racing sedans which he continued for some 30 years. I joined a few mates and started on my endurance karting adventure in 1999 with The Endurance Karting Association (TEKA) and to this day am heavily involved with the club, my team now consists my two sons and boy friend of my youngest daughter. Before joining APRA in 2019 we had a number of successful years racing a Mitsubishi Lancer in the Cheap car Challenge and a number of enjoyable years racing Legends Cars on dirt around the state.
